Privacy
Kitiara Club is a fan-fiction comic archive. This page describes what we collect when you visit, sign in, or publish a chapter, and who else sees it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not run advertising networks.

Who we are
Kitiara Club is operated as an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a licensee of the owners of the television shows, books, comics, or games whose stories appear here. The site is hosted in the United States.
What we collect
- Account. If you register, we store a username, a password hash (not the password itself), and when the account was created. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your Google user id, name, and email address; we keep those so we can recognize you on later visits.
- Session cookie. After you sign in we set an HTTP-only cookie named
kitiara_sessionso the site knows it is you. It lasts up to 30 days. We do not use it for advertising. - Stories and submissions. Chapters you generate or publish include the idea you typed, the resulting comic (text and images), your username, and which IP center it belongs to. IP-center submissions and quality reports (what went wrong in the art or writing) are stored so we can run the archive.
- Server logs. Our host records ordinary request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps, used to keep the site up and to investigate abuse.
How we use it
- To show the archive, attach chapters to your username, and let you edit work that is yours.
- To generate comics: your story idea and related canon notes are sent to our writing and image providers so they can produce the chapter.
- To enforce the content standard, rate-limit generation, and respond to takedown or abuse reports.
- To understand, in aggregate, whether people are finding the club and which IP centers they read. We use Umami for page views. It does not use advertising cookies, and we do not use it to sell ads or build marketing profiles.
Who else sees it
Published chapters, usernames on those chapters, covers, and portraits are public. Do not put secrets in a story idea.
We use other companies as processors, not as buyers of your data:
- Fly.io hosts the site and its files.
- OpenAI (and any other writing provider we configure) receives prompts needed to draft a chapter.
- Fal.ai receives prompts and reference images needed to draw portraits, covers, and panels.
- Umami receives page URLs, referrer, browser, and country so we can see which pages are read. Their use of data is governed by Umami’s privacy policy.
- Google if you choose Google sign-in. Their use of data is governed by Google’s privacy policy.
We may disclose information if required by law, or if we need to protect the site or someone’s safety. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Retention and your choices
Accounts and published chapters stay until you ask us to remove them, or until we close the project. Server logs are kept only as long as the host retains them for operations. You can sign out to clear the session cookie in the usual way, and you can delete site cookies in your browser.
To see what we hold about your account, correct a username, or delete an account and its unpublished data, email privacy@kitiara.club. Published chapters are part of the public archive; if you want a chapter taken down, say so in that message and we will work through it. Rights holders may use the same address for takedown requests.
Children
The club is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to privacy@kitiara.club and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a material way, we will update the date above. Continued use of the club after that date means the new policy applies.
